How to Export 4K Video in CapCut
Choose export settings based on source footage and destination—not simply the biggest number shown in the menu.
Before choosing 4K
A 4K export does not create missing detail if the original footage is low resolution. Upscaling can produce a larger file without a visibly sharper result. Use 4K when your source media, project and publishing destination can benefit from it.
Export checklist
Watch the timeline for missing media, muted tracks, caption mistakes and unintended black frames.
Select 4K only when the option is available for your current project, device and account.
Exporting 60 fps does not turn 24 or 30 fps footage into true high-frame-rate capture.
High-resolution exports need space for temporary processing as well as the final video.
Check the first seconds, a middle section and the end before deleting project assets.
If 4K is missing
Possible causes include device capability, app version, project configuration, plan restrictions or regional/platform differences. Check the current app and official documentation rather than installing a modified package simply because a third-party page promises “4K unlocked.”
If 4K export fails
Try a shorter test segment, free storage, reduce especially heavy effects and restart the app. If the project exports at 1080p but not 4K, the device may be reaching a resource limit.
